I mention to my mom how a member of Despierta Boricua brought up how we should collaborate with the Latino LGBTQ group and an AfAm group to hold a vogue ball/party, and my mom quickly yells, “The first time I saw your dad he was voguing!” I would think by now I wouldn’t be phased by these things, but the things my dad does/did still surprises me.
Literally no other word describes my father better than fierce.
