Talked to my pre-frosh
She was so enthusiastic and excited to have been accepted, i couldn’t have been more pumped to talk to someone. When I congratulated her, she repeatedly congratulated me on being here already and thanked me for making her day with the call. At the end, she tells me “if all the people at Yale are this enthusiastic and helpful, I’m gonna love it there.”

are an awesome Latin@ couple who are masters of Stiles, one of Yale’s residential colleges. Today they told me that they delivered 500 tacos to the mayor of East Haven in retaliation to his saying that he’d help the Latino community by eating tacos for dinner. I love witty Latin@ academics. I seriously want to be these two when I grow up!

And This Is Why I Love Yale
Because the freshmen class gets together at midnight to have a massive snowball fight on Old Campus that is the most hectic, insane, and one of the most hilarious and painful moments of my life. Moments like this, ones that are non-academic at all and just completely fun, is the reason why I love being here every day.

Seeing one of my sisters and my dad today makes me realize how much I really love home. I don’t always think about it or feel homesick all the time, but when they surprised me with a visit today, it made me wanna go back. I love college and mostly everything that comes with it, but being with them made me forget about it all and brought me back to how much I miss just being with my family....
